Difference between the G and GL Model

May I know the difference between the G and GL models? Just got a 2 handed Freed. Thank you.

First of all, welcome on board,
Secondly, your question is quite common for the newbie having this lovely ride
I would suggest you to spend special time to browse this lovely forums

The differences are in the features, not as main factor (e.g: engine)
G all passenger doors are manual
GL passenger left door automatic, right door manual
(GL from Kah Motor all passenger doors are automatic)

G aicon panel - manual button controller
GL aircon panel - automatic button controller

G side mirror no signal lamp
GL side mirror with signal lamp

G has separate signal lamp indicator on the front body (left right)
GL has no separate signal lamp indicator (as already represented on the side mirror)

The best part, we never look it as differences, but we look it as special features. All functions/features, really indeed bring the unique concept.

If something happens to climax aircon system that will cause you more for servicing.

For G manual aircon are more straight forward for easy maintenance. It's just mechanical controller. There wont be any electronic issue.

Well i would say, about the looks, it's indeed very subjective...

Much better if we see from positive mind that Honda surely will not launch the "cheapo" model just because of the features on board...
They launched Freed in various type (G/GL, 5/7/8 seaters, glass roof, sun roof etc) to optimize and reaching as many as possible the market needs...

Anyway, not everyone has similar taste right?

And further more, if not mistaken, based on general review, there are more G than GL model in Singapore, as initially those PIs who imported Freed to Singapore, they were importing the 1st batch production from Japan (which was G model)

I have ever saw from Indonesian website, where someone modified the G aircon control even much better than GL.
I tried to find it again, but not be able to get it. When i find it, i will surely post the pic.

So for the look, model/type certainly does not represent general judgement for this lovely car.

hmmm... manual aircon or electronic aircon ...

no diff, cos in SG climate die die must have aircon!!!

then again must make sure your aircon is cold,

or no point if its manual or electronic!

looks wise, one is modern ...

whereas the other is retro!

reminds of my first ride ...

a happening car ...

... or should i say alot of happenings in the car?!!!



PS: with current COE prices, can own a car in SG very fortunate liao!
esp if its a FREED, PI or KM!!!
